Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE)

The Moody Bible Institute of Chicago is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, to grant degrees at the Associate, Bachelor and Master levels. The ABHE Commission on Accreditation’s recognition with the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) includes certificates, diplomas, associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degrees, including doctoral degrees. The Commission’s scope of recognition with the U.S. Department of Education does not include doctoral education.

Moody Theological Seminary evaluates its educational effectiveness by measuring students' attainment of learning outcomes in academic programs. Moody Theological Seminary also conducts periodic reviews using course evaluations and surveys developed by the Association of Theological Schools. Students are expected to participate in these surveys and other institutional assessment activities so that Moody Theological Seminary can maintain and improve its effectiveness.

National Association of Schools of Music (NASM)

The Moody Bible Institute of Chicago is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music. The National Assocation of Schools of Music has been designated by the U.S. Department of Education as the agency responsible for the accreditation throughout the United States of free-standing institutions which offer music and music-related programs. It is a member of the Association of Specialized and Professional Accreditors.
